Are you practical, reliable and take pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming spaces for the community? Shire of Mundaring is seeking enthusiastic Casual Facility Officers to join our team at the Mundaring Arena and Hardcourts.

This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, preparing sports courts and rooms for community use, and assisting with venue operations and events.

This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform manual tasks related to preparing indoor and outdoor sports courts. No experience is necessary, as on-the-job training will be provided. Applicants must be available for weekend and evening shifts.

Casual Pool - Community Safety Rangers

Shire of Mundaring is seeking motivated and community-focused Rangers to join our Community Safety team on a casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified, experienced Rangers looking for flexible work arrangements while contributing to the safety and wellbeing of the local community. Casual Rangers may be engaged to cover leave absences, weekends, peak periods and other operational gaps within the Shire's Community Safety team. While there are no immediate opportunities for regularly rostered shifts, the Shire are exploring the potential to collaborate with neighbouring local governments to establish a shared casual pool of Rangers. This initiative may provide access to additional work options.

As a Casual Ranger, you will engage with residents, investigate compliance matters, enforce relevant legislation and local laws, and assist with animal management and pound operations. You will play an important role in promoting community safety, providing education and support to the public, and contributing to a safe and well-managed community environment.

Waste Operator - Collections

Shire of Mundaring is seeking a motivated Waste Operator – Collections to join our Waste and Resource Recovery team. This hands-on role plays a key part in delivering efficient, safe and sustainable waste collection services to our community.

Reporting to the Supervisor Waste and Resource Recovery, this full-time position is based at the Operations Centre and assists with the day-to-day operations of waste collections and associated activities.

Key Responsibilities
• safely and efficiently operate waste collection vehicles for scheduled and ad-hoc collections, including Containers for Change, public places, facilities and events
• undertake litter, illegal dumping and roadkill collection and disposal in accordance with safety and environmental procedures
• follow designated collection routes while maintaining service standards and efficiency
• complete bin repairs, replacements and general maintenance tasks
• deliver and retrieve mobile garbage bins for events, new services and service changes
• conduct pre-start inspections of vehicles and equipment.

You will have:
• working knowledge of waste management and WHS practices
• a current and valid WA HR Class Driver’s Licence
• a current Construction Safety Awareness (White Card).

Experience in municipal waste collection or operating waste collection vehicles, as well as additional tickets (LF, Front End Loader, First Aid), will be well regarded.
