You will also support broader arboriculture and environmental operations, contributing to the upkeep of our natural environment.
Key Responsibilities
• undertake street tree pruning, including work near or under powerlines
• assist with tree maintenance in parks and reserves
• support tree planting and environmental operations
• operate plant, equipment and vehicles safely and in accordance with procedures
• maintain accurate records and complete daily timesheets
• deliver high standards of customer service and respond to service requests

About You

Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, this position is responsible for driving a positive WHS culture across the organisation, providing specialist safety advice and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on safety initiatives and outcomes.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the WHS team and managing all aspects of the WHS management system (WHSMS) and injury management. The role involves capturing and reporting on WHS statistical data such as injury, incident, hazard, and near-miss statistics as well as developing, maintaining and reviewing WHS policies and procedures and achieving strong stakeholder engagement.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
• highly developed communication skills, including report writing, policy development and stakeholder engagement
• demonstrated problem-solving skills focused on practical outcomes
• comprehensive knowledge of manual handling, ergonomic principles and WHS legislation
• sound knowledge of workers’ compensation and rehabilitation legislation
• recent experience in a similar role including developing and delivering training
• considerable experience in WHS practices, procedures, programs and systems
• a recognised qualification in WHS or relevant discipline.
