Join Our Team: Parks Infrastructure Maintainer
The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a dedicated and proactive Parks Infrastructure Maintainer to join our Infrastructure Services team.
About the Role: You will be responsible for providing safe and well-maintained play equipment, parks furniture, and park structures for our community. This includes repair, maintenance, installation, and modification to current safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Maintaining and repairing play equipment to safety standards.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining park furniture (benches, signs, etc.).
• Carrying out regular and preventative maintenance on park structures (shelters, BBQs, pathways).
• Detecting and rectifying defects and unsafe situations in park assets.
What We're Looking For:
• Demonstrated experience in carpentry, welding, and metalwork, including associated plant and tools.
• Sound working knowledge of carpentry and metalwork related to parks furniture and playground equipment repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising work effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of current safety practices and Council Local Government safety requirements.
• Current WA "MR" Class Driver's Licence or equivalent.
• Workplace First-Aid certificate and Construction Safety Awareness Training card.
Desirable:
• Two (2) years of experience in the play equipment and/or park furniture industry.

The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a proactive and community-focused person with a keen eye for detail to join our Civil Works team as Infrastructure Protection Officer.
Reporting to the Coordinator Civil Works, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the effective maintenance of our civil and parks infrastructure assets to required standards through proactive planning, organisation, and on-site compliance inspections. You will also monitor the work carried out by contractors, public utilities, employees, and residents within road reserves, parks, ovals, and reserves.
Commuting use of a shire vehicle is provided.

We are seeking a self-motivated, versatile person with experience in civil works to join our construction team.
To be successful, you will have sound knowledge and experience in the construction of roads and stormwater drainage and will be able to interpret construction plans and provide team leadership to complete capital works and maintenance tasks.
You will be experienced in the operation of a range of plant and equipment and undertake a range of other general labouring duties such as rock pitching, and minor concreting.
Involvement with delivering projects for Local Government would be advantageous. A positive and professional attitude with the ability to problem solve and work within a team is a must.
