Library Technology and Digital Systems Technician
About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic individual with a good understanding of specialised technologies in a public library setting to join our library services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and maintaining existing technology infrastructure as well as implementing new technologies.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accessibility, continuity, and relevance of the library digital and technological service to the community, maintaining the library management system, online catalogue, RFID, and other related equipment as well as testing software enhancements, upgrades, and developments.
Short term contracts and secondment will also be considered.
Selection Criteria
Provide a detailed summary of your experience in implementing, managing and maintaining applications and systems in a library setting, eg, the library management system, RFID, and OPAC, providing details of any significant challenges you faced and achievements accomplished.
Describe and provide examples of the behaviours that you use to create an environment of cooperation and collaboration at work.
Provide an example of a project you were totally responsible for delivering and what did you learn from this process?
Describe a time when you were assigned a task that was challenging to complete due to uncertainty about key elements and outline how you approached completing the task.
