About the Job
An opportunity exists for a highly organised and innovative person to join the library services team. This is a dynamic role working across the Shire’s library services.
This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the library management system, online public access catalogue, library digital resources, RFID and related equipment, as well as testing software enhancements, upgrades and developments.
This role requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, government agencies, vendors, suppliers, stakeholders and the community both verbally and in writing. Candidates should possess a good understanding of public library services.
Working hours will be:
Monday 11am to 7pm (7.5 hours)
Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm (7.5 hours)
Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (7.5 hours)
Selection Criteria
Outline your experience in the use and administration of the library management system, Spydus, and ability to manage web-based content (HTML).
Outline and provide examples of your ability to build and maintain solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Describe and give examples of how you can effectively communicate technological information to individuals with different levels of expertise and understanding.
