Communications Officer - Digital
About the Job
Are you a creative and motivated communications professional looking to make a real impact in the community? Shire of Mundaring is seeking an experienced Communications Officer - Digital to join our team and help shape how we connect with our community.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining digital communication channels to engage our community and create positive awareness of our events, services and facilities.
Key responsibilities
• overseeing and enhancing the Shire’s digital channels and website
• assisting with the management of our online engagement platform
• creating content that informs, engages and inspires our community
What we are looking for
• strong copywriting skills with exceptional proofreading and editing ability
• relevant qualification in digital and social media marketing, communications or public relations
• at least one-two years’ experience in a similar role
• confidence working with content management systems and graphic design tools
• excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines

Selection Criteria
Please demonstrate your working knowledge of digital marketing techniques and tools, including experience using a variety of social media channels, e-newsletter software, CMS platforms and online analytic tools.
Describe your experience creating engaging and accurate content for digital and marketing materials including copywriting, editing, proofreading, photography or video production and graphic design skills.
Outline your experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders in order to find and develop content.
Detail your experience developing and implementing digital strategy and utilising reporting tools for continual improvement.
