We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager Community Planning to lead and manage our Community Planning team. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and programs that guide the future growth and development of the Shire of Mundaring.

As the Manager Community Planning you will:
✅ facilitate sustainable development and approvals and foster strong
connections to culture, heritage and place
✅ assist in developing, implementing and reviewing the Shire’s town planning framework to ensure development processes meet statutory obligations
✅ facilitating and deliver initiatives that drive place planning and economic development outcomes
✅ ensure that community planning activities align with the Council's strategic
priorities and reflect the needs and expectations of the community including
place planning concepts such as open space planning, public realm design,
and urban design.

In recognition of the commitment, knowledge, skills, experience and leadership you will bring, we will negotiate a remuneration package up to $195,000. This will include salary, superannuation, motor vehicle allowance, professional development and telecommunications provisions as well as a range of benefits including 5 weeks annual leave, free parking and pool entry and complimentary wellness initiatives including skin cancer screening, annual flu vaccinations and ergonomic assessments.
