Planning Support Officer
About the Job
We are seeking a motivated Planning Support Officer to provide efficient administrative support to the Planning Service team and to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to internal and external clients and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:
• excellent communication and customer service skills
• strong organisational and time management abilities
• proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• ability to use initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a similar role would be highly regarded, as would experience in local government or a planning environment and knowledge of relevant legislation and planning processes.

Selection Criteria
Describe your developed oral and written communication skills including examples.
Please provide examples of your demonstrated customer service skills, including dealing with difficult customers.
Provide an overview of your experience in undertaking various administrative functions in a high pressure environment, including examples.
Please describe, using examples, your working knowledge of computers, software packages and locating information within online/electronic resources.
