Assistant Coordinator Child and Parent Centre
About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for a passionate community focussed individual to contribute to the next phase of development at the Child and Parent Centre Swan (CPC). The Shire is seeking a capable individual to assist the CPC Coordinator in providing leadership and direction for the CPC staff, families, local schools and service delivery partners. The CPC works collaboratively with all stakeholders through the Midvale Hub's integrated service model to help families to grow, learn and thrive.
The role involves working with the CPC Coordinator in leading and guiding the CPC team and working with the local community to improve health, education and wellbeing outcomes for families in the CPC catchment area.
Ideally you should possess:
- Qualifications in Children's Services, Education, Human Service (or related discipline)
- Leadership, community engagement and communication skills
- Success working collaboratively in community with a variety of stakeholders to improve outcomes for a diverse range of families and children.
Selection Criteria

Please detail your ability and experience working in a leadership role and how you have supported teams and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
Please tell us about your verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including facilitation skills and experience working with diverse groups.
Please detail your understanding of Early Childhood learning and development and your ability to support parents in providing for their children's healthy development and readiness for school.
Please outline how you have used your knowledge of child development, parenting programs, community resources and partnerships to ensure parents have the skills, knowledge and confidence to nurture the wellbeing and development of their children.
